frequently asked questions.

Let's get down to the nitty gritty. The more information, the better a decision you'll be able to make! If you have more questions not answered here, feel free to contact me using the button below.

What if I don't have a head count yet?

I would highly recommend deciding your number of services prior to signing a contract. Whatever services are listed on the contract determines whether or not I need to hire an assistant artist for the wedding, and it will affect your final price. If you are not quite sure, contact me and we can work something out! Keep in mind, however, that your wedding date is not secured without a filled out and signed contract and deposit.

What if I don't have enough people to meet the service minimum?

I will be happy to service you even if you are only booking for yourself, as long as you are willing to pay my service minimum of $400 for me to come to you. I may also be able to fit in smaller parties if you are willing to travel to me. Since I specialize in bridal beauty, I will block out an entire day for one bride so that she can receive the best service possible. Blocking out an entire day for one or two people can be tricky, which is why I have a service minimum.

Can I have a preview before booking?

Absolutely! Previews are a great way to see if we are a good fit. If not, no harm no foul! However, I cannot hold dates without a contract and deposit.

How much time should I allow for makeup on my wedding day?

I plan for about 45 minutes per bridal party member and 1 hour for the bride. You can also expect a 15-20 minute period at the end of all services when I apply lipstick and do any touch-ups that are necessary before I leave.

What if I need to add more people or services?

You may add people or services at any time as long as they do not exceed 8 services and I will have enough time to provide a high-quality service. Typically, weddings where you need to be ready prior to 12pm will require earlier start times or assistants depending on how many people need their makeup done.

Generally, however, you can add services, but you cannot detract services without continuing to pay the agreed upon package price on the contract.

What if I signed my contract without an assistant, but now we need one?

Depending on how close it is to the wedding, I am still happy to try to find an assistant for your wedding. However, I cannot guarantee finding one, so please make sure that you know your number of services will not exceed the maximum for the time we have.

Do I need to bring my own skincare or makeup products?

Nope! The best part about hiring me is that I do it all for you. You don’t have to lift a finger.

How far out should I book my preview?

I prefer to book previews in the range of 1-3 months before your wedding date. That way, I will most likely not have change products before your big day. As an artist, I am always growing and changing, and I want to ensure that you get exactly what you want.

Is a preview required?

A bridal preview is not required, but it is highly encouraged! It is however part of the bride's pricing. It’s the perfect time to test products, tweak application methods, and see if we are a good fit.

How long does a preview take?

I allot about 2 hours for a preview, but they usually take around an hour to an hour and a half.

What should I bring to my preview?

Bring your gorgeous face and some inspiration pictures. I also highly recommend coming with your hair done (either curled or schedule your hair trial before), and wearing your wedding jewelry with a white top. I also recommend that you do a self-tan or spray tan if you were planning on that for your wedding day, as the tones in a tan can completely change the products I use. That way, you can see a more accurate representation of what you will look like on the day of.

Can anyone else besides me book a preview?

For sure! I have had bridesmaids and mothers book previews before. It does cost an extra $100 per preview.

Should I get lashes? How do I take them off?

Short answer: Yes! They are complementary with every service, so why not go all out? Plus, in my professional opinion, they make the biggest difference in photos. Most photos will make blush, highlighter, or even eyeshadow seem less prominent, but lashes always stand out and are the icing on the cake. If you would prefer to go without lashes, we can always abstain. It’s totally up to you.

To take lashes off, I recommend using a makeup remover or micellar water on a cotton round. You can place the cotton round or wipe on the eye with it closed for about a minute, which will begin to dissolve the glue. Then you can peel the lashes right off. You may have some glue residue left over, which can be removed with more makeup remover or simply pulling it gently off the base of the lashes.
